The Original White’s Wildland Smoke Jumper Boots
Established by Edward White in a shoe shop in Connecticut, White’s Boots is a name known for hand-sewn construction, custom fit, comfort, and durability. From 1853 to 1972, the three-generation family business became known for the ‘White boot,’ the pride of linemen, log drivers, and smokejumpers.

The company would trademark the Arch-Ease innovation in Spokane, WA, and reach customers who treasured the value of handmade, custom-fit work boats. The White’s Smokejumper boots were first worn by Francis Lufkin, a U.S. Forest Service field tester and foreman, who helped spread the word about the historic 335 models and propel White’s Boots to national prominence.

White’s Boots — Built To Last
Today, White’s wildland fire boots carry the spirit of the American firefighter, unrelenting in the face of extreme temperatures and unpredictable conditions. They’re hand-lasted, hand-welted, and hand-bottomed by a master bootmaker, created through a 25-stage process, and made in the USA.

White’s Boots are an investment in your comfort and safety on the job. That’s why we’ve chosen the best products with incredible features. Depending on which boot you choose, key features may include full grain oil tanned leather, hybrid sole by Vibram, Ortholite cushioned insert, Fireproof Technora thread, NFPA certified, ANSI approved steel toe, and a reinforced toe box.

Unlike ordinary boots, White’s Arch Ease mimics the natural contour of the foot to provide critical support when lifting heavy objects or to put pressure on the feet.
